DESCRIPTION: This field contains a key containing values for cost center, budget object code, occupation series
and assignment code. For entries that contain the asterisk character, the employee can have any
value for these fields in file 450 and therefore match the entry in this file.
The following example shows how to interpret the codes: Example: Code * 61 0610 88 The code is
composed of 4 parts separated by spaces.
Part 1=Cost Center. The "*" in this position indicates that any cost center is applicable.
Otherwise a 4 digit number is present.
Part 2=Last 2 digits of the 4 digit Budget Object Code. The "61" in this position is the last 2
digits of Budget Object Code 1061.
Part 3=Occupational Series Code. This is a 4 digit number.
Part 4=Assignment Code. The "88" in this position indicates an assignment of RN Staff, Inpatient
Acute. This is typically a 2 character code. An "*" in this position indicates nursing staff that
are automatically assigned to direct care roles regardless of assignment codes.
