              HELP-PROMPT: Enter a number that will uniquely identify this Code Set, a number between 1 and 999999.
              DESCRIPTION:
                                The Code Set ID is an assigned number that provides a unique identifier for the Set.

              HELP-PROMPT: Enter the MDC-Category this Code Set is assigned to.
              DESCRIPTION: The MDC-Category this Code Set is assigned to. Each Code Set is assigned to one MDC-Category that
                                defines the related care but may be assigned to multiple DRGs within that MDC-Category.

              TECHNICAL DESCR: A Code Sets MDC-CAT may be null in very limited circumstances. These are generic Computed Code
                                Sets that may apply to any MDC or Category.

83.3,.03 CODE TYPE 0;3 SET (Required)

                                'DX' FOR DIAGNOSIS;
                                'PR' FOR PROCEDURE;

              HELP-PROMPT: Enter the type of codes assigned to the set, either Diagnosis or Procedures.
              DESCRIPTION: The primary definition of the Code Set is which type of codes it contains, either Diagnosis or
                                Procedures. This identifies the location of the list of specific codes contained within the set.

83.3,.04      SET TYPE               0;4 SET

                                'P' FOR PRINCIPAL;
                                'S' FOR SECONDARY;
              LAST EDITED:      JUN 15, 2016
              HELP-PROMPT: Enter the type of Diagnosis this set applies to in relation to the event the DRG is being
                                calculated for.
              DESCRIPTION: Type of Diagnosis as related to the care provided. A diagnosis may be either the Principal
                                Diagnosis or one of the Secondary Diagnosis. The assignment to the record of care will affect if
                                the Diagnosis satisfies a Code Set. A Diagnosis assigned to a stay as a Secondary Diagnosis cannot
                                satisfy a Code Set of Set Type Principal.

83.3,.05      SPECIAL                0;5 SET

                                '1' FOR EXCEPT;
                                '2' FOR ONLY;
              LAST EDITED:      JUN 09, 2016
              HELP-PROMPT: Enter the code corresponding to the special conditions that apply to this Code Set, if any.
              DESCRIPTION: Special circumstances that are required for the codes in the set to satisfy the Set criteria.

                                EXCEPT - no codes in the set may be assigned to the patient record ONLY - only codes in the set may
                                be assigned to the patient record

                                Note these conditions are specific to the Code Type of the Set. Requiring Only a certain set of
                                Diagnosis does not restrict the Procedures assigned.

              HELP-PROMPT: Enter the code corresponding to the type of Computed set, if applicable.
              DESCRIPTION: The Computed Set is a generic place holder for special processing and not directly related to
                                individual codes. No Set identified as Computed will have Codes assigned.

                                ANY O.R. - Patient record must have an Operating Room Procedure assigned NO O.R. - Patient record
                                must not have a Operating Room Procedure assigned NO SDX - Patient record has no Secondary
                                Diagnosis assigned

                                LNK CNT - Link to group of Sets where the count of codes are relevant LNK CDN - Link to group of
                                Sets that define one Condition LNK MLT - Link to group of Sets where one or more but not all must
                                be met

                                The LNK Computed Code Set is assigned to the MDC Case and triggers the special processing during
                                the DRG calculation.

              TECHNICAL DESCR: The free text Linked Sets field defines which Sets are linked. The LNK Computed Code Set has no
                                associated codes but the Code Sets identified by the Linked Sets will have codes.

                                The Linked groups essentially turn the Case's Code Sets from AND to OR.

              HELP-PROMPT: Enter a free text identifier of a group of linked Code Sets to be processed together, 3 to 20
                                characters.
              DESCRIPTION: Identifier for a specific group of linked sets. All Code Sets related to the group must have this
                                field set identically. The LNK Computed Code Set that defines the type of processing and the Codes
                                Sets assigned the codes require this field to match. Only the LNK Computed Code Set is assigned to
                                the MDC Case to trigger the special processing.

              LAST EDITED:      JUN 11, 2016
              HELP-PROMPT: Enter a full text descriptive name of the Code Set, if available, 3 to 50 characters.
              DESCRIPTION: Identifies the specific medical area the codes in the set relate to. This is an optional
                                descriptive field that may or may not match one of the DRG Case/Set Names.

              TECHNICAL DESCR: Not every Code Set Name needs to be a DRG Case/Set Name. But every DRG Case/Set Name must match a
                                Code Set Name so the two may be matched when creating the Cases.
