of segments.  The file BPS NCPDP FIELD DEFS lists each field that may be on an outgoing claim request or an incoming claim
response.  Each entry in that file will have a field that points to this file to indicate which segment that field is a part of for
the claim request (field REQUEST SEGMENT) and/or the claim response (field RESPONSE SEGMENT).  
 
Per VA Directive 6402, this file definition should not be modified.
