| DESCRIPTION | The Enter Cost Information for Procedures option allows you to entercost data for each procedure code in the A&SP PROCEDURE CODE file(#509850.4). You can selected a single CPT-4 code, or you can editall procedure codes. If you choose to edit all procedures, eachprocedure is displayed consecutively, and the current approximateprivate sector cost can be entered. You can obtain fee schedules from public or private sector clinics and hospitals, calculate their real costs, or use insurance reimbursement rates (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid or insurance UCRs). Procedure cost information is used in generating the Cost Comparison Report on the A&SP Reports menu. |
