| DESCRIPTION | This option is used to perform two functionsUsing accessioned tests identified in the ACCESSION (#68).. 1) Allows the manual assignment of CPT codes for billing if the orderinglocation is an out patient location type as indicated in the HOSPITALLOCATION (#44) file. 2) Allows the recording of laboratory workload for all HOSPITAL LOCATIONtypes. If the ES DISPLAY ORDER (#26) field of the WKLD CODE (#64) file ispopulated, the user can select from a picklist of predefined WKLD CODES.In addition, the user is able to enter any valid CPT code directly. If the location is appropriate, CPT billing codes will passed to the LABPCE API. The WKLD CODE associated with the CPT code will be added to thelaboratory workload for an accessioned test. |
